My Way to Experience - Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has it all. From beautiful beaches, roaming wildlife, temples, tea plantations and trekking – it’s diversity will captivate you from the moment you arrive!

I was lucky to spend 3 weeks exploring all the wonders of Sri Lanka from the East Coast of Colombo and Negombo to the Central Areas of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Kandy in March. It was here that I also had the opportunity to visit the Tea Plantation areas close to Ella and closed out my trip with a visit to the Yala National Park, and the Southern Beaches of Mirissa and Galle.

“And if I’m being honest - I would go back to ALL of the places I visited as I just loved everything about Sri Lanka so much.”

My Way to Adventure - Malta

My week-long trip to Malta was the perfect Mediterranean getaway to escape the cold in June. Not only is this beautiful part of the world known for its iconic blue hues, but it’s rich history captivated me from the very beginning. Whether it was exploring 5000 year-old pre-historic temples, uncovering the history of Knights of St John and the war rooms and tunnels from World War Two, my time in Malta was full of surprises.

“I loved getting off the beaten track and heading underground to the multilevel burial chambers of Hal Saflieni Hypogeum.”

Dated to 4000 BCE with intricated wall paintings and carvings, the fascinating subterranean structure only allows a handful of visitors each day. It was an amazing experience and whilst it still remains somewhat of a secret, I highly recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out.

My Way to Family Fun - Bali

Bali is the perfect destination for rest, relaxation and most importantly fun – and that’s exactly how my 2 weeks was spent in Nusa Dua and Kuta when I travelled there with family and close friends last September.

Staying in family friendly resorts was a must and I loved the Novotel at Nusa Dua which had plenty of facilities and activities for the family. Some of our favourite restaurants were just outside the resort within walking distance so we enjoyed plenty of delicious food and family entertainment.

“Getting off the beaten track on an ‘Awesome Bali Cycling’ tour was such a highlight of the trip.”
